PLANS FOR SHOALS MUSTANGS ALL-FORD SHOW CONTINUE
Plans for the Shoals Mustangs All-Ford Show, Saturday, August 16 at McFarland Park in Florence, continue. The second of three planning meetings took place at Donna and Friends Restaurant Thursday, July 31.
It was reported that $600 of the club's $1,000 goal in sponsorship donations was received since the first meeting. Also, Vice-President David Rhodes was given the assignment of photographing the participants' cars as they enter the show field.
As reported earlier, advertising for the show in the Times Daily has been secured and the flyer has been posted in several social media groups. Sponsorship/Door prizes will be handed out during registration. Also, registration table and field marshal volunteers have been selected.
TOOL SCHOLARSHIP DINNER
A great turn out for Shoals Mustangs Annual Tool Scholarship giveaway for the graduating seniors pursuing an automotive degree or entering the workforce was had. Ralph Stumpe's Man Cave again served as the venue featuring Ralph's BBQ pork and chicken including sides, drinks and desserts.
The event is funded from proceeds from our annual car show each August.
JUNE MONTHLY MEETNG
The Shoals Mustangs' monthly meeting for June was held on June 12 at Sweet Peppers Deli in Muscle Shoals.
The Shoals Mustangs Car Show, scheduled for August 16th at McFarland Park, was discussed. Planning sessions will be announce. The Times Daily will run an ad for the car show once a week and will be featured the week prior.
Visitors included Jimmy Charuhas, Jackson Pate, Cameron Nichols and Butch (Brandy) Miller. Following the meeting, Jackson and Cameron from Muscle Shoals Career Academy, were presented with tool sets.
